Celebs spell out Spring-summer 2012!

From celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe, to the Olsen Sister's brand called The Row, Victoria by Victoria Beckham to L.A.M.B by Gwen Stefani, we have the celebrity version of Spring-Summer 2012 with various interpretations and some very chic looks! We also give you a low-down into how to finish off these looks with brands which are available in your city.

1) Rachel Zoe's Spring-Summer 2012 Ready-to-wear line screams 'RACHEL' so out loud as the stylist confesses that she would wear all of the pieces of 30 look collection which has been inspired by the 60s and 70s look of southern France. The collection is marked by whites and neutral with a hint of golden and ruby. While the jumpsuits and maxis are mostly in floral prints and the monotones and sheer blouses add a bit of experimental streak to otherwise understated but stylish collection. The extremely wearable collection also works well for boardroom to cocktail party transformation. The accessories, wherever present, are big and chunky like oversized clutches and satchels and fedora hats for the Parisienne look.

2) Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B is an extension of her bold, trigger-happy, hippie persona. The Spring-summer2012 collection of L.A.M.B is as artistic s it is wearable. Inspired by the South East Asia and called the 'Maharaja', the collection has very strong Indian touch with instances of the Nehru collar, ikat prints and embroidery. These are then blended with modern cuts and wearable separates. The collection is flirty and fun and the over-the-top accessories add the much demanded glamour for the 'Maharaja' lifestyle.

3) Olsen twins never disappointed. Whether posing in the perfect ensemble for the shutterbugs of just adding their bit of style to the fashion we see. The Row's Spring-summer 2012 imparts an aura of ethereal, angelic, ghostly yet clear simplicity to the collection. The cuts are simple but the tops embellished with shell pieces and mother-of-pearl embroidery and kimono inspired bodice all add a touch of class to the collection.

What we are lovin' right now!

1)Mark Jacobs's tribute to Southpark

Thats right! Marc Jacobs has acknowleged and thanked the creators of South Park (Marc Jacobs has been immortalized at 'Marc Muscle Man' in one of the episodes of the show) by giving the 3 characters- Eric Cartman, Randy Marsh and Butters "Leopold" Stotch their fashin debut. The 3 characters are placed nude on t-shirts with 'Protect your largest organ' emblazened on their vital areas. The initiative, which benefits the Interdisciplinary Melanoma Cooperative Group at New York University, has been fronted by Victoria Beckham, Naomi Campbell and Dita von Teese. The tees are available online at $35 and at Marc by Marc Jacobs store.

We love Southpark and would love to rock the Mark Jacobs-meets-Southpark obscenity via the t-shirts! woohoo!

2) New York based designer Naeem Khan's Spring Summer 2012

Hailing from India, Naeem Khan is not a new name among the A-listers. Hollywood damsels like Eva Longoria, Penelope Cruz, Brooke Shields, Emily Blunt, Katherine Heigl have all flaunted a Naeem Khan. The  impeccable cuts, chic separates and elaborate gowns have embarked a USP for the designer, the intricate embroidery and bead work is a talent passed on from his grand-father to his father and then onto him. His designs have even graced First Lady Michelle Obama and Queen Noor of Jordan and were showcased on the silver screen with Sex and the City and Dreamgirls.

He found his label 2003 and showcased his collection in 2005. Over the years his collections have been stocked at more than 200 stores,  including Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and Saks Fifth Avenue.

His Spring/Summer 2012 collection is marked by beaded gowns, demure lace jumpsuits, faille ribbon rose gown, cowl neck, one shoulder gowns, all very typically Khan with jewel colours, crystal fringe, all very delicate, romantic, mystic and still spell drama like no other.

Unfortunately, though for us, we can only lust over the collection and tell y'all about it, and only hope the label retails in India too! The following are a few of our favourite looks from the collection.

Maxi-out your look!

We believe in maxi skirt so much that we had to write this for the readers, for many believe that maxi is 'not-for-me'. Maxi skirts, if played well, can be totally turn to one's advantage or even style. You don't really need resort to a boho-chic or street-style you know,in order to flaunt a maxi or even worse, put up a sloppy look. Short or pear-shaped, maxi, true to its name, has a LOT of space for all you kinds out there!

1) For simple, sophisticated look and clean lines, go black and white in a body hugging maxi, that accentuates your perfect waist and booty ;) The cropped turtle-necked top adds a hint of bold,as heels add height.

2) Girly, fun as well cosy look for the winter, with the pleated maxi and cropped sweater. Comfy but hot nonetheless.

3)Our favourite look is the cropped jacket with a maxi skirt/dress. Its edgy on edgy. But if you're not looking to be noticed, ignore point 3. Although, we would still recommend to keep accessories on a minimal for this look.

4)Be the demure, geeky lady with this look which works for office too(even if you do not use type-writers anymore). Flat shoes, pigtails and a perfect collared blouse and you'll be making heads turn without going all out.

5) This works very well for a pear-shaped women. You get to flaunt your curves, bare your  décolletage and take the show off your wide-ish hips. Add some jewelry and you're good to go for a party, too!

6) Très chic is what comes to mind. Boots, belt, cropped sweater, fur coat and a blanket of beautiful hair. Couldn't get better!

7) The best of mix-n-match. Accentuates the waist while it gives the outfit,a form. Beret and the bandana around the wrist takes the outfit a notch above.

We Indians have had a fair share of the maxi skirt despite the seasons, across states and cultures. Looking at few typically ethnic ensembles, we have designers like Sabyasachi, Ritu Kumar and Kavita Bhartia showing us a taste of east in our maxi skirts. Here are few looks:
